Warren Buffett has been making the rounds since the release of his annual letter to Berkshire Hathaway shareholders, and in a recent interview with CNBC he offered three tips for successful investing.
One key, Buffett says, is learning accounting. “Accounting is the language of business,” he explained. “You have to be as comfortable with that as you are with your own native language to really evaluate businesses.” Buffett also talks about why the idea that growth and value are opposites is bunk, and — in response to a question from NBA star LeBron James — he offers some long-term investing advice.
